Scott D. Miller,CPA/ABV, CVA President

As an entrepreneur himself, Scott understands closely held and family-owned
businesses. He balances that perspective with years of corporate experience, starting his career at a national
public accounting firm, going on to serve as a VP of Finance and plan fiduciary for a large ESOP company. He then
served as a principal in several family businesses, and founded ESI in 1993.
At ESI, he’s helped hundreds of businesses through transition planning, including valuations, strategic planning,
financing, fairness opinions, terminations and litigation support.
As a nationally recognized authority on business valuations, he’s published widely in professional journals and is
a sought-after speaker for professional and industry groups. He’s authored technical seminars for the American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. Scott has an undergraduate
degree from Kenyon College and an MBA from the Cornell University Johnson Graduate School of Management. He is a CPA with
additional business valuation accreditation from the AICPA and NACVA.

Greg L. Carlson, CPA/ABV, CVA Vice President/Principal

Greg’s experience as a senior financial manager comes from a diverse professional
background. He’s served as VP of Finance for a food company and as CFO of a medical
services firm. Through these positions, he gained extensive experience with business
acquisitions, especially involving co-operative and closely-held companies. At ESI,
he’s valued hundreds of companies who depend on his business acumen to make profitable
decisions. Greg received his BS degree from St. John’s University, and is a CPA with
additional accreditation in business valuation from NACVA.

Sandra M. Paavola, AVA Vice President/Principal

Sandy has over twenty-five years of experience working in both public and private firms in the financial services industry. As a senior officer in both domains, she's able to add her insight into strategic planning, marketing, operations and management. Since joining ESI, she's worked on hundreds of business valuation assignments and stock transactions. She holds a BA from Ottawa University, with additional accreditation in business valuation from NACVA. |

Craig D. Olinger Financial Consultant

Craig possesses an impressive range of management experience encompassing financial planning, strategic management, and business administration areas. His numerous years in the service industry extend across such disciplines as sales, financial analysis, and customer relations. At ESI, Craig works with clients to determine their business needs and has assisted with many valuation assignments. He holds an undergraduate degree from Creighton University and an MBA with an emphasis in finance from the Keller Graduate School of Management. |

Kim Parsons, AVA Senior Financial Analyst

Kim has a diverse industry background, including
ten years with an international benefits consulting firm. Additionally, she has
extensive expertise in technical and business writing, as well as a thorough knowledge
of benefit administration systems. Her accounting and project management experience
complement her analytical and writing skills. At ESI, Kim works on annual ESOP updates
and new valuation assignments. She holds a BA from UW-Milwaukee, an MBA from UW-Madison, and additional accreditation in business valuation from NACVA.

Alison’s business background spans both public and private companies. Her breadth of experience in financial analysis, marketing research, corporate strategic planning, management training, and quality improvement provides an excellent foundation for assessing businesses and conducting valuations. She holds a BA from the University of Chicago, an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and additional accreditation in business valuation from NACVA. |

Toni has extensive experience in financial reporting and analysis including forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, and cost analysis. With a strong background in manufacturing and familiarity with private firms, she understands the operational and management issues that our clients face. Her additional expertise in strategic project analysis augments the business valuations and financial planning services that ESI offers. Toni holds an undergraduate degree from Loyola University and an MBA from DePaul University; she is pursuing additional accreditation in business valuation from ASA. |

Christine Kroll Assistant Financial Analyst

Chris has extensive knowledge of all aspects of the accounting process. Prior to joining ESI, she developed her management and communications skills working with both large and small business clients in a manufacturing environment. With over twenty years experience in finance related areas, her knowledge is well-regarded by the professionals at ESI and its clients. Chris holds both an undergraduate degree and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. |

With expertise in communications and technology, Kris
provides the in-house capability to continually create and maintain both client information
and sales collateral. Her varied experience in all aspects of the marketing process is an
added benefit as she assists in growing the ESI organization and conducts research for
various reports. Kris holds a BS degree from Carroll College. |

With over twenty years in private industry, Patty
possesses a unique combination of financial and office administration expertise. Her
operations experience includes financial reporting, payroll, purchasing, cost analysis,
vendor relations, policies and procedures, and long-range planning. Her background gives
her a thorough knowledge of client services and data analysis. |

Lisa Grossmeier Administrative Assistant

Lisa has extensive experience in customer service from a
wide variety of industries. As our central communications person, she is often the first
voice you hear when you call the ESI office. She also handles a number of operational
tasks which are critical to providing our superior customer service. Utilizing her
accounting experience, she assists the team in the valuation process. Lisa holds an
AAS from Milwaukee Area Technical College. |
